Our Art & Design courses enable you to establish practice and individual specialism through briefs, work experience, and dynamic projects; thus cultivating an extensive portfolio as you progress through your chosen course.
You will also develop your analytical skills by undertaking research to give context to your work. Alongside this, you will explore disciplines including graphic design, illustration, fashion, and fine art; building on skills and experimenting with further techniques in clay, glass, metal and textiles.
All courses and levels are assessed against submitted coursework by a deadline, meaning that you get to work with no exams. All are assessed at Pass, Merit, and Distinction levels against the qualification unit criteria.
At Suffolk New College, our Art & Design program covers a wide range of areas to help you find your creative niche. Whether you’re passionate about visual storytelling, exploring different dimensions, or capturing moments through a lens, our course has something for you. You’ll delve into graphics and illustration, bringing ideas to life through digital and traditional media. The Art & Design Saturday Club at Suffolk New College enables students to explore a range of specialist art and design techniques including: drawing, painting, printmaking, textiles, photography, and digital media.
