As a College we are committed to building links with local businesses and employers. We feel it is important for employers to understand the current educational landscape, appreciate the skills and knowledge our students can offer and have access to their work force of the future.

In addition, we want to ensure that our students are work ready and offer them a range of opportunities including industry placement, employer talks, visits to workplaces, and mentoring.

Industry Partner Program

Suffolk New College has established an innovative and mutually beneficial Industry Partner scheme, aimed at strengthening our engagement with industry and local employers.

ePass & ePass+

Suffolk New College has an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ grade for the personal development for our learners. We have a bespoke digital platform which develops essential skills for the workplace and is available in two versions:

  • ePass for learners– This is designed to support you in developing your employability skills by providing you with a framework of essential skills that you will be able to practice and develop as part of your work placement, work experience, mandatory vocational placement or industry work placement and in some cases work related activities/projects.
  • ePass+ for the workforce – This is designed for adults to crucial soft skills required in the workplace.

Safeguarding & PREVENT for Employers

Suffolk New College are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all learners, including young people and vulnerable adults.
Employers also have a responsibility to the learners they support on work experience or work placement.
