This programme is designed to give you the full experience of the Music Performance industry focusing on key roles, careers, and progression routes. You will be able to develop your musical ability through performing in bands and as a lead performer, as well as songwriting and recording in either of our two industry-standard studios.
You will also develop your musicianship skills by studying the history of popular music and how it has developed over the years. Different promotional platforms will also be looked at to see how to get yourself heard!
There are no exams on this course, instead, work is submitted as coursework and a broad range of assessment styles are used, including observation of rehearsal and performance, presentation, interview, essay, journal, and rehearsal diary.
Regular visiting artists and industry professionals provide you with excellent insight into the opportunities available to you in the musical world. You will spend approximately three days a week in College and will be expected to use your non-contact days for individual study and instrumental practice.
