Music Performance and Production

Our music study programmes aim to provide students with a thorough grounding in musicianship and production, utilising practical exercises and hands-on music-making experiences. Members of the course will have full access to our music studio and the latest tech, alongside our range of instruments to practice with and even learn to play. As well as this, students will have many opportunities to perform for the public in various events, and receive frequent visits from various artists to offer their advice and guidance about working within this fast-paced and competitive industry.

With so much to offer and more, there has never been a better time to study music at Suffolk New College.

Build your career in
Music

Suffolk New College offers both music performance and music technology courses in levels 2 and 3. Depending on your chosen pathway, you will be coached in the development of your instrumental and vocal performance skills; or be trained on how to use the latest music technology to create, edit and record your own music.

During their time at the college our music students will receive regular opportunities to showcase their musical skills by way of live performances, recordings, and other cross-college projects. There will also be opportunities for students to collaborate with the media department in order to create music videos and obtain video recordings of live shows.
