Course overview

This exciting introductory building services course will enable you to develop digital, employability and basic installation skills.  You will be supported to produce an E-portfolio to help record all your achievements, in a small group environment.

The modules of study are measuring and marking out, electrical installation practices, plumbing pipework skills, IT and digital skills, British values and employability skills.

This qualification suits learners who do not meet the maths and English requirements for higher level vocational courses.  It allows you to try plumbing and electrical with our skilled staff in industry standard workshops.  All of this is available to you without the pressures of end point assessments, whilst improving your maths and English.

  • Installing, inspecting and testing lighting circuits
  • Installing, inspecting and testing socket circuits
  • Installing, inspecting and testing taps, sinks and bath basins
  • Produce documentation such as wiring diagrams, risk assessments, tools and material lists
