Our Introduction to College course is designed for learners aged 16+.
The course will offer learners the opportunity to experience the different courses that the college offers by exploring different progression options through a variety of hands-on vocational tasters and experiences. This course is suitable for Young people who are unsure of what vocational route they would like to study, learners who have previously been out of education, and learners with EHCP’s.
As part of the course Learners will also focus on developing their soft skills, self-management, and resilience strategies while also learning to be able to work independently and in a team. There will be opportunities to take part in social action projects within the local community.
Embedded within the programme are practical and classroom-based activities to support and develop study skills and help you settle into college life.
The course is based at our On The Coast Halesworth Campus and will run over 3 days per week. As part of your course you will be required to study Maths and English and have a PD session once a week with a Progress tutor.
