Uniformed Public Services

Our courses have been designed to give learners both valuable theory and practical knowledge as they continue on their pathway to a career with the Uniformed Public Services. Taught by former members of the services, SNC aims to deliver an immersive experience that covers all aspects of the services in as much detail as possible, including visits from guest speakers and themed activities both within and outside the college.

Community Activities

Raising funds for local charities and supporting local non-profit organisations. Members of the course will also take part in the college’s annual remembrance day parade.

Trips & Activities

Each course features regular activity-based excursions in various environments and exercises with local emergency services. Every year has the potential for new locations and activities, so there is always the chance for our students to take on a brand new challenge! Previous trips have included an army leadership course and military themed NCS activities week at Bramley lakes.

Options for you.

Our uniformed public services courses focus on the development of transferable skills suitable for a range of employment opportunities. Military, Fire services, Police, and many others will be covered over the courses duration; allowing students to gain valuable knowledge from experienced tutors and guest speakers while also experiencing events designed to reflect upon real-life situations within the aforementioned services.

For those that may instead wish to focus on a specific area of the services, a new level three Policing Diploma is now on offer to upcoming members of the college, which is designed for student’s that have a strong career interest in the Police Service. The course has links with both the local Constabulary and various Universities for those that wish to further their education within a Professional Policing degree.
