T Levels

T Levels are a 2-year qualification that you can do as an alternative to A levels, other post-16 courses or an apprenticeship.

They bring classroom learning and an extended industry placement together within a curriculum designed for businesses and employers.

Why study T Levels?

T Levels give you another choice after your GCSEs. Check out the four great reasons for choosing a T Level, and prepare to move to the next level.

Created with business

T Levels have been designed with leading corporations and employers to give you the necessary knowledge and skills to progress with your chosen career path.

Get ahead in your career

T Levels offer students the chance to learn what employment is like while they continue their studies.

Learn your way

T Levels involve more classroom study than apprenticeships, which means you can experience an industry while you continue your studies.

UCAS Points

Your T Level will be worth UCAS points recognised by universities and other education providers, so you can choose to continue studying if you wish.

Are T Levels for me?

T-Levels are ideal if you have finished your GCSEs and want the knowledge and experience to jump straight into employment, an apprenticeship or higher education.

You’ll spend 80% of your time in the classroom and 20% on a 45-day placement with an employer to give you the skills and knowledge companies look for in employees.

One T Level takes two years of full-time study and is equivalent in size to 3 A levels.

Industry Placements

As part of T Levels, students must complete an Industry Placement occupationally specific to their course.

An Industry Placement runs for a minimum of 45 days (with an emphasis on quality), allowing students to work with support projects, take the lead and enhance their skills.

An Industry Placement will take place with an employer external to the learning provider’s premises.
