    5 GCSEs at grade 4(C) or above including English and/or maths,


    Level 2 in a related subject including English and/or maths at grade 4(C) or above (or equivalent).


    Course Overview

    This course is based at our Ipswich campus.

    This exciting new pathway has been designed to give you an excellent overview of the areas of film, TV and broadcasting from a traditional perspective but also including the booming online sector.

    The work will be script to screen, from researching and developing creative ideas to gaining the hand skills on the hardware and software needed to bring these to reality.

    Students will cover a variety of projects such as short fiction films, documentaries, live TV, advertising and music video. It will also encompass online moving image content and also explore motion graphics and animation. The course will also look at the film, TV and online moving image industries and prepare students for the next steps of their career through CV writing, UCAS application, freelancing, creating their own promotional materials.

    All students who have not achieved a grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE maths will need to study these subjects alongside their chosen qualification.

    Course Highlights

    Guest speakers from different areas of freelance as well as local businesses, live industry briefs and trips (locations to be decided.) The course will have a strong focus on promoting diversity and ethics in the content we look at.

    Next Steps

    University or into employment in Film, TV and Broadcasting in roles such as producers, directors, writers, camerawork, sound recordists, editors, motion graphics and animation.

    Tuition Costs

    No tuition fees are payable for students aged 16 – 18 on 31 August 2022.

    Additional Costs

    Additional cost for trips TBC. There are optional trips abroad such as New York which run for additional costs.
