This course provides the underpinning knowledge and vocational skills needed to either go on to study for a degree at University in several different areas, including:

Alternatively, it will give you the skills and knowledge to become an effective practitioner in a wide range of health & social care settings.
You will study a range of subjects, including:
- Working in Health & Social Care
- Human Lifespan Development
- Anatomy & Physiology
- Research
- Principles of Safe Practice
- Psychology and Meeting Individual Care Needs
You will complete work placements in a variety of settings including Ipswich Hospital, Day Services for individuals with Learning Disabilities and other care settings. putting into practice what you have learnt on the course.
You will have the opportunity to attend talks from visiting experts and guest speakers covering topics such as regulations and the cultural needs of patients. We work with healthcare professionals to enable you to speak to them about the career paths and the different specialisms that exist within the NHS.
This study programme is designed for those who wish to pursue a career within Healthcare and Care. During this course, you will be taught by experienced health professionals, who will pass on their knowledge and expertise in the field to you. You also have the opportunity to gain excellent experience by taking part in a range of placements, as well as talks from visiting experts and guest speakers which will help you decide on your career aim.
