This is a University Arts London (UAL) course

The Foundation study programme is a one-year, full-time experience that allows you to explore a variety of disciplines within an art and design framework. This is supported throughout the year by a programme of critical studies, drawing, and visual studies.

The study programme is made up of 7 units, divided into 3 terms, the first is experimental and experiential, the second is developmental and concerned with progression to higher education, and the third is the realisation of the year’s work. The first two terms are graded Pass only, and the Final Project is graded Pass, Merit, Distinction (a Distinction is 285 UCAS points). You will be expected to study 18 hours in college and 10 hours of self-directed private study.

The Foundation study programme is primarily aimed at those who wish to progress to higher education. You will be advised about progression to University and Portfolio preparation.
