Course overview

A higher level part-time 1 year course for learners with some experience in floristry who are aiming for senior florist positions or whom are self employed. You will study units in arrangements, wedding floristry and art and design. This course takes place every Thursday.

Topics covered in the course will be European design schema and the manipulation of plant materials to create innovative designs. Flowers will be included within the course cost.

Alongside this you will study art and design principles for florists building on knowledge from level 2

Additional Costs:

You will be able to purchase a floristry accessories pack from the college’s online shop. This package will include sundries such as bases, wires and pins which you will need on a weekly basis. You are welcome to purchase these items externally and your tutor can provide you with a weekly list of what you will require. Your tutor will also be able to support you on where to locate these sundries.

Course timings: 09:30 – 16:00

Flowers needed for the course can be bought from the college web-shop at a cost of £1200. This will cover the cost of your flowers for the duration of the course.

NB: For ages19+, Level 2 Certificate in Floristry or considerable industry experience.
