Equine Studies Overview

These courses are based at Suffolk Rural, Otley

The East of England has a thriving equine industry and a global reputation for horse breeding. You will almost certainly have heard of Newmarket, in Suffolk, which calls itself ‘The home of British racing’. The town is also home to industry giants like the Animal Health Trust and Tattersalls, Europe’s leading bloodstock auctioneer.

Our college has built strong links with this industry over the years. This has enabled us to help students find work with local livery stables, Breeders, Trainers and Equine Charities. Our aim is to ensure all our students leave college ready for employment.

Our modern equestrian facilities comprises of a 40mx25m indoor school with viewing area, a 60mx40m flood lit, outdoor, all weather arena, ample hard standing parking along with 3 internal heated classrooms with smartboards and 1 computer room with 18 computers.
