This programme follows on from the Plumbing Level 2 6035 and gives a more in depth and technical picture of the industry. Topics are looked at in more detail and new topics such as gas are explored. The course has both theory and practical elements to it; the theory consists of 4 online GOLA examinations and 5 written assignments. The practical assessments are carried out to industry standards which there are 15.The study programme is full time and you are required to attend college for three days per week for a full academic year. During the year you will be expected to undertake work placements in industry as well as attend relevant trips and visits.

6035 Level 2 Plumbing Qualification (or equivalent) and have GCSE Maths and English at grade D or equivalent.
You will learn in-depth plumbing techniques in our fully equipped, industry standard workshops, including preparing to work with gas. Learn about the industry on various trips throughout the year, including visits to working construction sites, while also attending industry related seminars delivered by qualified speakers, to help prepare you for the world of work.You can also test the job-related skills that you learn in a working environment, with opportunities to work with live community projects.The study programme will also develop personal, social and employability skills, which includes opportunities to meet local and national employers and to explore the various career pathways within the plumbing industry.

After successfully completing my Level 2 Diploma in Plumbing, I used my skills and knowledge to further my chances of employment by enrolling on to Level 3. I have successfully completed my Level 3 Diploma in Plumbing. I am pleased to say that my hard work and perseverance have paid off and I have now found myself an apprenticeship in plumbing, which will allow me to complete my NVQ and become a fully qualified Level 2 plumber. My hope is to complete my Level 2 NVQ and then fulfil my original goal of a successful career in the plumbing industry.
