What you will learn
This 3-unit Qualification will cover and assess safeguarding in an environment where candidates have a duty of care, and an understanding of the Prevent Duty, radicalisation, extremism and terrorism. Candidates will know how to recognise signs of abuse or potential harm and how to respond as well as the potential consequences of inappropriate or illegal online activity and how to reduce the risks posed online. Candidates must complete a collection of written assessments to demonstrate their learning and achieve the qualification.
Progression
We offer a wide range of Education and Early Years qualifications and training to support you in developing your skills and knowledge and to provide an offer that sees the sector receiving the upskilling, training and development required to ensure that Suffolk and surrounding areas can be a beacon for excellent care working with children. After successful completion of the Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Safeguarding and Prevent, we recommend progressing onto one of our part-time childcare courses at level 3, level 4 or level 5. Our progression course can be found here.
