This course is designed to support progression towards higher level programmes, internships and apprenticeships as well as developing skills for employment within the Animal Care sector.
The Route to College (Working with Animals) course is for anyone who wants a career working with animals. You do not need any experience working in an animal care role or any previous animal care qualifications. It will allow you to learn, develop and practice the skills required for further study on a range of programmes offered at the Suffolk Rural campus.
This is a one year programme, starting in September.
Attendance to all aspects of the study programme is required. This is typically 3 days per week on campus, participating in a range of both practical and classroom-based activities.
To achieve this qualification you will be assessed using a range of practical demonstrations and written assignments, which will be used to compile a portfolio of evidence.
