This course is for those who are completing a range of service and maintenance work within HGV heavy commercial vehicles and have at least two years of experience. Bespoke packages are available based on technician experience.
Assessments
Candidates will need to complete an underpinning knowledge online assessment based on the maintenance and repair of different vehicle systems. Candidates will then complete 5 different practical assessments from the following vehicle systems, whilst safely demonstrating the correct service and maintenance methods throughout the task.
- Powertrain Systems
- Chassis Systems
- Braking Systems
- Computer Based Test Equipment
- Vehicle Electrics
These practical assessments can be completed either within your own place of work or at the workshop facilities at Suffolk New College Rural campus.
Bespoke packages can also be provided to support the theory delivery to support completion of the online assessment.
