It’s not all about study though. ‘Suffolk New College - on the Coast’ is designed to give you the space to relax between and after classes, with a dedicated social space where you can unwind.

And what’s more, as a Suffolk New College student, you’ll have access to all of the facilities at our £70 million Ipswich campus, which is ideally located near the popular Waterfront area and a short walk from the town centre.

As one of the biggest colleges in the region, we enjoy strong ties with several major local employers - a huge benefit for students as they finish their courses and begin looking for their first opportunity in the world of work.

We also enjoy close links with the University of Suffolk, a relationship that makes students’ transition from further education to degree study much easier. Of the 307 SNC students who went on to university last year, more than a quarter took up places at the University of Suffolk. While others are attending Goldsmiths (University of London), Kingston University, UEA, Essex University, University of Sheffield, and many other universities.

As the closest vocational college to Leiston, our Ipswich campus already attracts students from the area. But now we can offer excellent vocational education closer to home for people from rural locations along the coast of Suffolk.

We have created a supportive environment, where you can easily get help or advice on a range of issues when you need it.

Whether you are 16 and about to leave school or older and unsure on which career path to pursue, ‘Suffolk New College - on the coast’ can help you reach your destination.
