Spiral Border Willow Basket Course – With Jo Hammond

Weave your own beautiful spiral bordered basket, complete with a natural log handle,

This project is a great introduction to willow basketmaking; working step by step, you’ll learn to add stakes, select the right materials, how to weave and shape sides, build the slanted border and secure the handle. This design beautifully displays natural willow colours and textures.

If you have some basketry skills already, you can opt to make your own base and create the larger basket.

All materials and tools are provided. Please bring your own secateurs if you have them

Please Note- willow weaving is moderately hard work and does require a firm grip

Enrolment End Date: Please note that the enrolment for this course closes 5 working days before the start of the course. Unfortunately, it is not possible to process late enrolments after that point. Our refectories may not be open, so you may wish to bring your own refreshments with you.

Times: 10 am to 4 pm
