This course is aimed at those progressing a career in horticulture or those who have a specialist interest in the supervision and the development of Gardens and Landscapes.
The course is mainly practical but supported with some background theory knowledge.
Subjects studied include;
Plant identification and knowledge ,
Plant specification and sourcing
The role of plants in a designed landscape
Maintaining plants
Developing planted areas
Plant health and disease management .
Plant propagation
Assessment will be through a series of external and internal practical examinations
This Course can be undertaken in conjunction with the RHS L3 Certificate in Practical Horticulture.( A total of two course days a week).
If the option to also complete the RHS Level 3 Award in Horticultural Investigation , the L3 Certificate in Practical Horticulture and the L3 theory are achieved the overarching RHS Level 3 Diploma in Gardens and Designed Landscapes is achieved.
Attendance is on site one day per week.
