L1 Step ON (online course)
This qualification will suit students aged 16+.
The course has been designed specifically to meet the needs of those learners who are unable to attend college in person. This may be due to a number of factors including health reasons. A one to one discussion will take place with a tutor from the Inclusive learning centre to ensure that this is the right course for you.
By the end of the course, it is envisaged, where possible, that learners will be able to attend some of their courses in person at the college. This is to help support progression for the following academic year.
The course consists of a range of units that can include:
- Healthy Lifestyles- looking at all aspects of healthy living- including nutrition, exercise, sleep, hygiene, health and relationships.
- Developing Interpersonal Skills – looking at your own strengths and weaknesses, and identifying areas for development and planning how this can be achieved.
- Assertive Living – focusing on making positive decisions in different situations and developing coping strategies to assist assertive living for a positive outcome.
