This study programme will enable you to develop skills in hairdressing alongside English, maths and work experience in local hair salons. You will additionally have weekly sessions to improve your employability skills and personal development while in training.
The study programme is unit based and you will learn through practical assessments using our commercial hair salon as well as assignment work for each unit delivered. This course teaches you about the hair and beauty industries and the importance of personal presentation and includes how to shampoo and style women’s hair, create plaits and undertake client reception duties. You will also participate in work-related enrichment using high-quality products for hair services.
This course also covers elements of Beauty, such as Makeup application and Nail services, as well as the Hair units. The course covers a mixture of industries, as it’s designed to give an insight and taster into the industries so that students can decide which aspects they like better, and guide them to apply for the correct Level 2 course next year.
