Course overview

This study programme is aimed at those wishing to pursue a career as a beauty therapist in the exciting and fast-evolving world of beauty. The programme provides you with a range of essential technical and practical skills and knowledge, which will equip you to seek employment or further training within the beauty industry.

These skills include carrying out treatments such as; manicures, pedicures, hair removal, facial treatments, lash and brow treatments, and application of make-up and light-cured gel polish.

The practical workshops in our excellent salon facilities will enable you to learn the professional approach to client consultation, treatment application and techniques, and appropriate homecare and aftercare advice.

Throughout your training programme, you will be required to carry out treatments on peers and paying clients, demonstrating your ability to meet the standards of the qualification.

To gain this qualification, students will successfully achieve all elements of the course including one externally-set synoptic theory examination and one externally-set synoptic practical examination, optional unit assessment, and engaged and evidenced employer involvement.
