This course is designed to teach you the basics of the German language & learn basic phrases. By the end of the course, learners will be able to understand and use simple phrases and questions to exchange basic personal information in German.
The course is suitable for beginners with no prior knowledge of the language. For example we might cover: Introduction to the language alphabet, formal and informal language, negative structure, words used to link ideas, e.g. and, but, also, how to ask questions, the basic rules of pronunciation, present tense and basic numerical data.
As new and returning learners are welcome to attend this course the group can be of mixed abilities and levels of knowledge. If you are an absolute beginner, we do recommend that you attend from Term 1 which will commence in September 2026.

You will need to bring a notepad and pen.
Refreshments are available to purchase from the college until 6pm so you may wish to bring your own refreshments.
Enrolment End Date: Please note that the enrolment for this course closes 3 working days prior to the start of the course. Unfortunately, it is not possible to process late enrolments after that point.
