Suffolk New College is hosting their annual family fun day on Saturday 11 May 2024.
The occasion, called the Big Day Out, will take place at Suffolk New College’s Suffolk Rural campus between 10 am and 4 pm.
Billed as a mini county show, events will be taking place at this location based in the village of Otley.
So far, 3000 visitors have already signed up to attend – but free tickets can be secured here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/big-day-out-tickets-713604108097
(Please note, there is a £5.00 car parking charge per vehicle).
This year, there will be live music, archery, arts and crafts, a barbecue, chef demonstrations, equine displays, dog agility, animal petting, outdoor games, face painting and lots more family friendly activities.
External organisations including Suffolk Archives will also be in attendance along with a number of food related vendors.
All departments of the college will be showcasing what they do via interactive activities relating to animal studies, construction, equestrianism, farming, and horticulture.
Charlotte Rossitter is the events coordinator at the College. She said, “We first started our Big Day Out in 2005 and after 19 years, the event gets bigger and better every year.
“We can’t wait to welcome the community to our relaxed campus for a few hours of fun with all the family.”
(Because the college houses livestock, dogs aren’t allowed to attend this year).
