What is the Levy Share?

Large employers who pay the Apprenticeship Levy can transfer unused funds to smaller organisations. This means you can access fully funded apprenticeship training.

Sharing Your Levy – What Employers Need to Know

If you’re a Levy-paying employer, you can make a real impact by pledging unused funds. Here’s how:

Create a Pledge

  1. Sign in to your Apprenticeship Service account
  2. Go to ‘Finances’‘Transfers’
  3. Choose your pledge amount and preferred sectors or values

 

Key Things to Consider

  • You’ll be funding 100% of the training costs for the receiving employer
  • You’ll be in a partnership for the duration of the apprenticeship (usually 12–24 months)
  • You can choose to support sectors, regions, or values that align with your business
  • You’ll be helping to build a stronger, more inclusive local workforce
