If you’re aged 16 to 19 and feeling unsure about your next steps after GCSEs, you’re not alone. Many young people feel this way at this stage. Maybe you’ve started sixth form and realised it’s not the right fit. Or maybe you haven’t signed up for anything yet and are worried you’ve missed your chance.
You haven’t.

A Fresh Start Is Waiting
Suffolk New College is holding its annual Restart Event on Monday 15 September at our Ipswich campus. It is a chance for you to explore the options available to you, speak to our friendly staff, and even enrol on the night.
What to Expect
This is a relaxed drop-in event where you can:
- Talk to our tutors and support staff about your interests and goals for the future
- Find out which of our courses still have places available
- Bring your results and ID, and enrol if you find something that suits you
- There’s no need to book beforehand. Just turn up and we’ll help you figure out your next step.
Who Should Come?
- Students who started sixth form but feel it’s not the right path for them
- Anyone who has finished GCSEs but hasn’t yet signed up for college, training or work
