News overview

Suffolk New College has created a new skills platform for business.

Funded by the UK government, the Local Skills Improvement Fund, and the Department for Education, ePASS+ is a digital resource that has been created to give crucial soft skills to employees of companies.

The new scheme was officially launched at a business breakfast hosted by the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce at Chefs’ Whites restaurant in Ipswich today and saw around 50 delegates come along to find out about the programmes on offer.

According to Kayleigh Norris, the Head of Careers and Adult Personal Development at Suffolk New College ‘the main focus of the development of ePASS+ is to give more soft skills to enable employees to prosper in the workplace’.

Kayleigh continued: “As a college working in the community, we recognise the profound impact of continuous growth on individual success and organisational prosperity.

“Therefore, we have developed ePASS+. The programme offers a comprehensive toolkit tailored to empower the workforce and gives employees insights into their personalities, learning styles, and motivations, creating a more profound understanding that serves as the foundation for transformative development.

“Ultimately, ePASS+ can enhance leadership, delegation skills, decision-making, teamwork, work ethic and offers additional tools for ongoing development,” added Kayleigh.
