Make-up Artistry level 2 Students have been doing some exciting work experience in collaboration with the The Co-op Juniors Theatre Company on their latest production of CATS at Snape Maltings Concert Hall.
We hear from some of the work experience students about what it was like to get their first taste of industry experience behind the curtain.
Miriam Rico said, “It was a very insane experience. Loved working with the cats and staff. It helped me understand and developed my skills as a makeup artist”.
We also heard from Madeleine Cross, “I really enjoyed my time doing the Cats makeup at Coop juniors, I did the makeup for some of the cast, it taught me a lot about how a theatre production works behind the scenes and how makeup artists have to work quickly. I would definitely do it again as I see myself doing that sort of thing same with film when I’m older”.
Shannon Leach also commented: “The experience at coop juniors was extremely worth it, I loved the environment and learnt a lot from it. Would definitely recommend this to anyone interested”.
We hope going forward that this will be an ongoing experience we can offer our future Makeup students.
