Kickstart Scheme

Changes to the apprenticeship funding system

Apprenticeships are a devolved policy. This means that authorities in each of the UK nations manage their own apprenticeship programmes, including how funding is spent on apprenticeship training.

Extended Employer Incentives

The government has introduced extra incentive payments to support employers who hire new apprentices between 1 April 2021 and 30 September 2021. This is in addition to the £1000 incentive that is already provided.

How much will I be entitled to?

Employers who hire a new apprentice between 1 April 2021 and 30 September 2021 will receive a payment of £3000 (no age limit).
