This experience-rich and popular Industry-focused course provides learners who have already gained a Level 2 in a Childcare and/or Teaching Assistant qualification with the opportunity to become fully qualified Level 3 practitioner in Supporting Teaching and Learning.
the course provides learners with the necessary industry-recognised qualifications and professional standards to be able to work in the Schools and Colleges sector, working directly with children and young people.
During the course, you will gain the knowledge, understanding and practical skills required to support teaching and learning in schools and colleges.
You will have the opportunity to enjoy your learning in our very own state-of-the-art SNC mock Early Years suite (please insert link), and will also undertake a placement in industry as part of your course.
What’s more, you will learn and be taught by a team of highly qualified and expert teachers who have vast experience as Nursery Practitioners and centre managers, teachers, SENCO’s, assessors and more, providing learners with a wealth of top tips, industry know-how and insights to support your professional journey.
The course is a full-time programme, delivered over 5 days per week for the duration of the academic year. 3 days will be in college and 2 days will be in a placement.
Course content

Assessment
Assessments include a range of portfolio-based internally assessed practical tasks and assignments where you will demonstrate your knowledge, understanding as well as a series of observations in placement to demonstrate you skills.
Progression
Learners completing this course will be able to progress into industry as Teaching Assistants, support staff roles in schools and colleges, and also come with UCAS points for learners looking to progress onto university to study courses such as Teaching and Education.
