Route to College (Working in the Land Based Sector) 

This course is designed to support progression towards higher level programmes, internships and apprenticeships as well as developing skills for employment within the land-based sector.

Overview:

Route to College (Working in the Land Based Sector) is a course for anyone who wants a career working within the Land Based sector. This includes Horticulture, Agriculture, Arboriculture, Conservation or Floristry. You do not need any experience of working in a land-based role or any previous land-based qualifications. It will allow you to learn, develop and practice the skills required for further study on a range of  programmes offered at the Suffolk Rural campus.

This is a one academic year programme, starting in September.

Attendance to all aspects of the study programme is required. This is typically 3 days per week on campus, participating in a range of both practical and classroom based activities.

To achieve this qualification you will be assessed using a range of practical demonstrations and written assignments which will be used to compile a portfolio of evidence.
