This course covers aspects of women’s hairdressing. Our students develop skills in principles and practice of hairdressing services, cutting hair using basic techniques, style, set and dress hair, plait and twist hair, colour and lighten hair, styling and finishing services. To inspire learning and widen the experience to achieve your maximum potential within the industry, we run a commercial salon where you will work on paying clients and have the opportunities to be part of professional training workshops, guest stylists and industry talks. You will work with a range of clients of different ages, genders and ethnicities to develop your confidence to work with all clients. To gain this qualification, students will successfully achieve one externally set synoptic examination and one externally set synoptic practical examination.
