Throughout the programme, students will be working towards their personal EHCP outcomes whilst accessing a workplace internship to gain skills and experience to support them in the world of employment.
Learners will attend their workplace, with an individualised employment schedule, completing the workplace induction and learning the tasks and duties required of them. Learners will be able to gain a good understanding of the workplace environment and be given support and opportunities to develop their workplace skills.
The learners will receive Job Coach support tailored to their needs throughout the Internship and will have access to a range of workshops, which are employment-based sessions. They will also have support to record and reflect on their progress in their work placement, working through any hurdles arising.
Our focus is for our learners to progress into the world of employment and we offer every opportunity in order to support them to do so.
Learners will be required to get themselves to their workplace independently and as such we will work with local, accessible employers and offer travel training if required.
The main campus for this course is our Rural campus.
