This intensive three-week programme has been supported by Suffolk New College in partnership with Sizewell C and the Civil Workforce Alliance to help people with little or no construction experience gain the skills, qualifications, and confidence needed to start work in the industry.
Whether you’re looking for a career change, returning to work, or taking your first step into construction, this programme provides a direct pathway towards employment opportunities within the Sizewell C supply chain.
No previous construction experience is required.
What you will achieve
By completing the programme, you’ll achieve nationally recognised qualifications and industry-required certifications that employers look for. These include:
- Level 1 Award in Construction Skills (City & Guilds 6219-04)
- CITB Health, Safety & Environment Operatives Test
- Support with applying for your CSCS Green Labourer Card
- Manual Handling Awareness
- Fire Awareness
- Abrasive Wheels Awareness
- Working at Height Awareness
- Confined Spaces Awareness
- Drug and Alcohol Awareness (aligned with Sizewell C requirements)
