Ready to communicate with confidence?

The intensive Level 1 course is designed to help you build confidence and interpersonal skills such as tone, body language and respectful communication. It also develops clear written and verbal communication for a range of workplace situations.

Improve how you communicate with colleagues, managers and customers. You will gain skills in verbal communication, active listening, adapting tone and responding professionally.

The programme will include:

  • Identify your own strengths and communication skills
  • Understand the importance of effective time management
  • Recognise the signs of stress and how it affects communication
  • Understand different types of criticism and how to respond positively
  • Spot confident behaviour in yourself and others
  • Learn what non‑verbal communication really means
  • Know the difference between passive, aggressive and assertive behaviour

This course helps you transform the way you interact in the workplace.  Perfect for boosting confidence, developing professionalism, and building better working relationships.

Learners compile a Portfolio of Evidence demonstrating their ability to communicate effectively in a range of workplace conversations.

This course is ideal for learners progressing from Entry Level or those preparing for employment in business administration or customer-facing roles.

The course is funded through the UK Government’s Adult Skills Fund (ASF).   There is no cost for eligible adult learners, 19+.
