This exciting course gives you the option to engage in the vibrant world of warehousing and logistics. The East of England is a major player in the logistics sector with a significant percentage of containerised goods passing through the region. The course is particularly well suited to those that have been out of employment for a while and are looking to enter the sector. If you are joining the course as a job centre plus client, you will be guaranteed an interview within the sector upon completion.
The content of the course will focus on the basic of warehousing and logistics, including moving and handling goods as well as picking and distributing.
The course is completely free if your annual household income is less than £25,750.
Upon completion of the course, should you wish to continue studying, there is the option to progress onto a level 2 award, with the chance to complete a full certificate too.
The qualification will be awarded to learners who successfully achieve an approved combination of units through a Portfolio of Evidence that has been successfully verified and monitored through Gateway Qualifications’ Quality Assurance process. Achievement is therefore determined by successful completion of the unit assessment with no further requirement for additional/summative assessment.
