The CIPD Certificate in HR Practice (CHRP) provides a firm foundation in all areas of HR, helping you to develop essential HR skills and giving you the confidence to be more effective at work by adding real value to your HR function.
Upon successful completion of the programme you will be awarded the CIPD Foundation Level Certificate in HR Practice. The qualification is accredited by the CIPD and is equivalent to QCF Level 3. Successful completion will also provide you with the knowledge you need to work towards the new CIPD Associate professional level of membership (Assoc CIPD). This is a new professional grade of membership which recognises the skill, knowledge and approach needed to make a significant supporting contribution, and deliver excellent results in the workplace.
The CIPD Certificate in HR Practice primarily focuses on the practical acquisition of skills and all students will be encouraged to share both work and personal experiences as part of the course. All students should approach the course understanding the need to be involved in both individual and group based tasks/assignments.
A good profile of GCSEs including English at Grade C or above and a desire to develop yourself as an HR practitioner.
The CIPD Certificate in HR Practice is a modular qualification with credits awarded on successful completion of each unit. The Certificate Programme at Suffolk New College consists of 3 core and 4 ‘optional’ units from the CIPD Foundation level. Passing each one of these units gives you a set number of credits. In combination these credits add up to the 28 credits needed to achieve the Certificate qualification.
