Bricklaying

Our courses will prepare you to

  • build and repair walls and chimneys
  • create brickwork structures
  • work safely and within regulations.

You will be taught by highly experienced tutors in our spacious brick workshop in Otley, Suffolk.

Competition Success

As well as demonstrating your new skills in the classroom or on the work site we encourage learners to showcase their skills at a range of regional and national competitions.

At a recent Suffolk Show our construction learners Ryan Cook and Ryan Austin gained first place in the bricklaying skills competition.

The level three learners saw off competition from a College in Bury St Edmunds to scoop top honours when making a palace themed wall.

Help & Support

Moving from school to college can be something of a culture shock. But at Suffolk New College we’ve created a supportive, social environment where you can easily get access to the help and advice you need, make new friends and get the most out of your time with us.

Looking to earn while you learn?

On an apprenticeship you’re employed to do a real job while studying for a formal qualification – usually for one day a week at College.
