Bricklaying

Bricklaying is one of the many fantastic trade-based courses offered across our college campuses. Located at Suffolk rural in Otley, each course is led by highly experienced tutors in our spacious brick workshop to ensure that students can get a completely immersive experience in their education. Our courses will prepare you to build and repair walls and chimneys, create brickwork structures, work safely and within regulations, and much more!

Community & Competitions

As well as demonstrating your new skills in the classroom or on the work site, we encourage our learners to showcase their skills at a range of regional and national competitions as well as working in the community on real projects.

Learners showcase what they have learnt in an annual trip to the Suffolk Show where they follow a set brief to produce final products.

Construction Skills

If you are looking to get hands-on with a range of construction areas then our Multi-Skills Construction and Maintenance Operations courses may be for you!

Help & Support

Moving from school to college can be something of a culture shock. But at Suffolk New College we’ve created a supportive, social environment where you can easily get access to the help and advice you need, make new friends and get the most out of your time with us.

Looking to earn while you learn?

On an apprenticeship you’re employed to do a real job while studying for a formal qualification – usually for one day a week at College.
