We have outlined below what uniform and equipment is required for which subject areas.

Animal & Equine
What PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) do I need for my Animal Course?
You will need steel toe capped boots, green polo shirt, green sweatshirt or fleece (full length sleeves), and an outdoor waterproof jacket. Please note that we do not accept gilets in the Animal Centre as PPE. You can purchase the clothing items through Logos2Go.
What PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) do I need for my Equine Course?
All levels will require a riding hat, riding boots, riding gloves, breeches/jodhpurs, a branded polo shirt, and suitable outdoor clothing (e.g. waterproof coat, waterproof over trousers, fleece). Those on a riding pathway will also require a body protector. Please note that we do not accept learners on the Yard with clothing worn on another Yard to protect our horses, so full uniform is required. You can purchase some of the clothing items through Logos2Go.
Please note that all courses will involve outdoor work during all weathers, so appropriate clothing is advised. If you have any queries regarding PPE, please do contact our curriculum team who can advise further before you purchase any equipment.
Catering & Hospitality
How do I order my uniform and kit?
Each learner will purchase the uniform and kit from a wholesale company/supplier, details of which will be available after you have enrolled. We require you to wait until after enrolment before placing your order in case factors affect your enrolment, such as not meeting the entry requirements. Once enrolled you should purchase your relevant uniform and kit within the first two weeks of learning.

Construction & Engineering
Each learner will be required to purchase steel toe capped boots after they have enrolled, which will need to be worn for all practical lessons. We also advise students to wear clothing they do not mind getting dirty.
The following courses require additional personal protective equipment to be worn in practical lessons.
Painting and Decorating – White painters bib and braces
Fabrication and Welding – Flame retardant overalls
Engineering – Flame retardant overalls
Vehicle Inspection and Light Vehicle – Dark overalls. Optional, safety glasses and oil resistant gloves
Body Repair – Overalls, P2 dust mask, gloves and safety glasses
Learners will be provided with further information at Enrolment relating to the PPE they need to order and our recommended suppliers. Please note, all learners must have appropriate PPE ready for Induction.
Hair & Beauty

Mirage Cosmetics will supply kits for our level 2 makeup artistry students, Ellisons for all other Beauty therapy study programmes, and Capital Hair and Beauty for Hairdressing/barbering kits.
Health & Social Care / Childcare
It is a course expectation that students wear their uniform/kit both at college and in placement. Details of the uniform/kit and how to order will be communicated to learners via the academic team following enrolment. Students place their own orders via the supplier website.
Land Based
What PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) do I need for my Agricultural Course?
You will need steel toe capped boots, steel toe capped wellington boots, yellow high vis jacket and green overalls. You can purchase the high vis and overalls through Logos2Go.
What PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) do I need for my Land-based Engineering Course?
You will need steel toe capped boots, steel toe capped wellington boots, yellow high vis jacket and fire resistant overalls. You can purchase the high vis through Logos2Go.
What PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) do I need for my Arboriculture Course?
You will need a helmet for climbing that includes ear protection and a visor, chainsaw trousers, chainsaw boots, chainsaw gloves, gloves suitable for the workshop, and a first aid kit.
What PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) do I need for my Horticulture Course?
You will need steel toe capped boots/wellington boots and suitable clothing for working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Sport & Public Services
There will be a kit/uniform that students need to purchase. Details will be communicated to learners via the academic team following enrolment. Students place their own orders via the supplier website.

There will be a kit/uniform that students need to purchase. Students place their own orders via the supplier website.
Financial Support
The College offers bursary schemes to enrolled students which offers assistance with kits, travel to College, uniform, college trips and other course materials.
