Make some juicy games on your journey into the world of Game Design!
Are you passionate about creating engaging experiences, from indie game gems to board games? Whether your dream is to build the new Super Monkey Ball or the next multiplayer horror game to play with your friends, this is the course for you!
Over two years, you’ll dive deep into the exciting game design process: exploring game mechanics, programming, concept creation, in-engine tools, music composition, and more. From concept to completion, you’ll gain hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and techniques to develop original games that can be played anywhere!
This course offers far more than just traditional classroom learning. You’ll engage with real-world projects, including live industry briefs and game jams that are judged by game industry professionals, and benefit from guest speakers and mentoring from experienced game developers. A dedicated internship pathway with game studios provides invaluable workplace experience and professional connections.
Taught by a team of industry professionals, the course is designed to build your confidence, creativity, and technical expertise, giving you all the tools you need to thrive as an independent games designer or progress into higher education and the creative industries.
All assessment is coursework-based, with no exams, and successful completion provides you with the UCAS points needed for university applications.
