Suffolk New College hosted a celebratory event for students to honour many successes relating to T Level and vocational results today.
The occasion took place at their main campus based in Ipswich.
But learners and their families who study at other campuses based in Otley, Leiston and Halesworth came along to take part in a day filled with smiles and high fives.
In terms of results and the overall picture, a total of 668 learners took level 3 courses, achieving an overall pass rate of 95%.
Of those, 178 people were involved in UAL qualifications, gaining a 98.8% pass rate. With these specific results, six out of eight of the programmes had a 100% pass rate. These courses included Music Performance and Production and Creative Media.
A total of 103 learners took T Level exams, gaining a pass rate of 89%.
Last year, Early Years T Level student Esther Pyett received the highest mark in the country on her course.
This year, current learner Chloe Cattermole gained an A/Distinction, making her one of the top performers in the UK on her T Level Early Years pathway.
Also, in terms of T Levels, students on the Agriculture Land Management and Production course are ploughing a positive path forward for farming, having achieved a 100% pass rate.
Elsewhere, 182 learners took level 3 BTEC qualifications with the overall pass rate coming out at 93.5% – with nearly half of all learners receiving a distinction grade.
41 learners took Technical qualifications, with 94.4% of these learners passing, including a 100% pass rate for the Equine learners, and one learner achieving the highest possible grade D*D*D*.
Marianne Flack is the Deputy Principal of Suffolk New College. Marianne said: “We are delighted with the results this year. The students have worked incredibly hard, and we are really pleased in terms of the proportion of high grades that have been achieved on BTEC courses.
“In addition to that, results are very strong with our T Level pass rates. This is especially pleasing as we were one of the first colleges in the country to offer these pathways that offer students the chance to gain industry placements alongside their study.
“Overall, it has been another fantastic year – so congratulations to all of our students and thanks so much to all of our staff for their hard work.
She added: “It was also great to see students performing so well in creative courses. Suffolk New College is right behind the Ipswich City of Culture bid, so who knows, some of our class of 2026 might well end up playing starring roles in 2029 if we win the bid.”
Next up for the college is an enrolment day taking place in Ipswich between 8 am and 8 pm on Thursday 20 August 2026, where the college will also be celebrating GCSE results day.

Chloe gets one of the top grades in the country on her course
Chloe Cattermole, 18 from Stowmarket got a distinction on her Early Years T Level course. She said: “I’m feeling good. I’m now going to university to study teacher training at Anglia Ruskin in Chelmsford. My time at the college has been enjoyable – I had supportive tutors and I made some great friends.”
Elsa is over the moon
Elsa-Rae Vanmegen, 18, from Ipswich received a distinction on a health and medical T Level. Sher said: “I’m over the moon and extremely happy. I’m now going to do an access year at the college and then possibly I’ll be going to university to study psychology. My time at the college has been amazing.”
Eniola found friends along the way
Name; Eniola Odelabu, 19, from Ipswich, studied on a level 3 business course at Suffolk New College and gained a distinction. She said: “Along the way, I found my friends and my teachers were very lovely, and I found the course very interesting. The journey has been up and down, and in the end I got what I wanted. Next up. I would like to get a job or maybe go into travel and tourism.”
