Ipswich Town legend also set to strut his stuff on the catwalk
Suffolk New College will be getting their glad rags and handbags out as they get ready to host a fashion show on behalf of Cancer Support Suffolk.

The event will take place on Friday 12 June 2026 at the Rope Walk campus of the educational establishment based in Ipswich.
Former promotion winning Ipswich Town manager George Burley will be strutting his stuff on the catwalk.
Hair and beauty learners from the college will be helping the models and music students will lay on some of the entertainment.
Local independent pop-up shops will also be in attendance.

Mark Murphy is the CEO of Cancer Support Suffolk. He said: “I’m so thrilled that our patron George Burley is going to be modelling for us. All the models have either had a cancer diagnosis or work closely with the charity.
“The staff and students and Suffolk New College have really embraced the show and will be providing lots of help and support on the night, it’s going to be a very emotional evening.”
Alan Pease is the Principal and CEO of the college. He has a soft spot for the benevolent cause because of the help they gave his wife last year after she received a cancer diagnosis that she has successfully managed to battle. Mr Pease said: “I know firsthand of the work that Cancer Support Suffolk does thanks to the incredibly brilliant help they gave to my wife Angela. It is our absolute privilege to support this amazing charity.”
Guests will be greeted with arrival drinks and nibbles – and a raffle will also take place. For tickets and more information, you can email: fundraiser@cancersupportsuffolk.co.uk
