Suffolk New College’s Suffolk Rural campus is hosting the 30th anniversary of an event called East Anglia Potato Day this weekend.

The occasion was set up in 1996 and will see 51 varieties of everyone’s favourite comfort food on show.
Although just the host, the college, which is situated in the village of Otley, is proud to be part of this special occasion.
Head of marketing at the college is Craig Shimmon. He said: “It’s our pleasure to host this event for the second-year running.
“Suffolk Rural College was set up to be the place to celebrate agriculture back in 1970, and I’m sure we will be joined by many people from the farming community at this special event.
“Last year over 100 people attended, and why not – everyone loves a potato – and it is Valentine’s Day – so we are hoping for another good turn out this year.”
