Entry requirements: Entry onto the apprenticeship is subject to thorough initial assessment to clarify course suitability. You may be required to come into an interview and assessment. Entry onto the apprenticeship is subject to 4 GCSE’s including Maths & English 9-4 or equivalent. Apprentices need to be employed for minimum of 30 hours a week, and have a contract of employment.

Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training (REPS) , Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training (REPS)

Progression: Apprentices successfully completing the Advanced Apprenticeship have opportunities to progress within the industry by developing a career in Personal Training or Leisure Management.
Course Summary: In this apprenticeship, the role of a Personal Trainer is to coach clients (on a one to one and small group basis) towards their health and fitness goals through design and provision of creative and personalised exercise programmes and instruction, nutritional advice and overall lifestyle management. They will motivate clients to positively change their behaviour and improve their overall wellbeing by providing specialist advice, being aware of when to refer clients to relevant appropriate professionals for specialist information and guidance. They will also develop a comprehensive understanding of business, finance, sales and marketing which is essential to enable the Personal Trainer to build and retain a stable client base. The apprentice will complete an End point Assessment to demonstrate that they can perform knowledge, skills and behaviours in their occupation.
