Hospitality Team Member Level 2 Standard

Attendance: All assessment and training is undertaken in the workplace with occasional visits to college

Entry requirements: Entry onto the apprenticeship is subject to thorough initial assessment to clarify course suitability . You may be required to come in and undertake an interview or assessment. Entry onto the apprenticeship is subject to 4 GCSE’s including Maths and English 9-3/A-E or a commitment to undertake Level 2 maths and English. Apprentices need to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours a week, and have a contract of employment.

On-programme learning: English and Maths (if required) to achieve Level 2

End-point assessment: Delivered by City and Guilds

Progression: Hospitality Supervisor Level 3

Course Summary: This apprenticeship is designed for those who wish to gain the skills, knowledge and behavioural competencies required to work in a Hospitality Team Member role. Apprentices will require a strong work ethic, good communication skills and to be prepared to work irregular hours as required in the industry. Their main skills will be recognising customer needs, knowing how to match them to the products and services of the business and working as part of a team to ensure every customer, whether they are eating in a restaurant, drinking cocktails in a bar feels welcomed and looked after. Job roles in Hospitality could include front of house, waiter, bar tender or mixologist. The apprentice will complete an End Point Assessment to demonstrate that they can perform knowledge, skills and behaviours in their occupation.
