Attendance: Day release Ipswich Campus

Entry requirements: Entry onto the apprenticeship is subject to thorough initial assessment to clarify course suitability . You may be required to come in and undertake an interview or assessment. Entry onto the apprenticeship is subject to 4 GCSE’s including Maths and English 9-4/A-C or a commitment to undertake Level 2 maths and English and Level 2 Hairdressing apprenticeship. Apprentices need to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours a week, and have a contract of employment.

On programme learning: English and Maths (if required) to achieve Level 2

End-point assessment: TBC

Progression: On completion of this apprenticeship, an Advanced and Creative hair professional will have the opportunity to progress within the industry in roles such as Creative Hair Stylist, Advanced senior stylist, Specialist technician or self employment.

Course Summary: Apprenticeships are work-based training programmes designed around the need of both the Apprentice and their employer. This apprenticeship is for those who wish to develop their core skills, knowledge and behaviours, allowing them to work effectively with supervision in a working environment. An Advanced and creative hair professional will provide a quality of service, whilst working to the highest standards and continuously developing their personal and professional skills. They will deliver hair fashion and forward trends, which are innovative styles inspired by current images and their own creativity, individual flair, imagination and interpretation. The apprentice will complete an End point Assessment to demonstrate that they can perform knowledge, skills and behaviours in their occupation.
