Business students bubble football bonanza raises cash for charity

Kind-hearted business students bounced some fundraising ideas around at college and decided to create an all-day bubble football bonanza.

The group are all studying on (year one) of a Level Three Business course at Suffolk New College.

They created the fun event on behalf of the East Anglian Children’s Hospice (EACH) and managed to raise just over £100.00.

Business students Ines Tavares and Liveta Kupcikovaite helped organised the occasion. 19 year old Liveta, from Ipswich, said, “We wanted to support a local charity as it has more impact to the community.

“We sold tickets in advance and others joined us on the day. Students wanted to get involved as they realise it is important to help people when you can. It also helped me get a real life understanding of event management which will be very useful in the future.”

Lecturer in business studies at Suffolk New College, Tom Smith, said, “This is the second group of business students from the college to raise cash for charity in the last month. I’m chuffed with the effort of the students who have represented themselves professionally throughout.”
