Sports Centre Assistant
Fixed-term until 31st July 2020
8 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
National Minimum Wage based on age range
Up to £15,840 per annum pro rata.

We are looking for a member of the team to support the smooth day-to-day running of the Sports Centre for 8 hours per week. This post will be evenings and/or weekends and we would ask the applicant to be flexible in their hours to support the team and the needs of the centre.

You will ensure the health, safety and enjoyment of our customers is paramount. We are looking for people who are passionate about the leisure industry and willing to go the extra mile to meet the customers need.

Your role will be varied and will include the setting up and down of sports equipment, dealing with customer queries, taking payments from customers, taking bookings and dealing with general enquiries including over the phone and by email, ensuring the successful operation of the facilities during your shift.

We are looking for someone with a "can do" attitude, health and safety knowledge and a customer service focus with the ability to work on their own and under pressure.

Suffolk New College runs its own Sports Centre, located at the front of the main College site in Ipswich. The Centre is open until 10pm at night, seven days a week and provides both a teaching site and a community Sports Centre that is open to the public outside of College hours.

Please note that as Suffolk New College is a multi-campus site, you may be required to work at and travel between campuses.
