Welcome to Suffolk New College

We look forward to seeing you at Induction to start your course.

All enrolled students will soon receive an email telling you where and when your first day of induction will take place.

Please come to the..

College Square, outside the main entrance to the building (for Ipswich Campus)
Central Green by the bus stops (for Suffolk Rural)
Car Park by the main entrance to the building (for On The Coast - Leiston & Halesworth)

..where a course team member will greet you and take you to the right classroom. Please do not arrive earlier than 5 minutes before your start time to ensure we can manage social distancing.

The College has put a variety of safety measures in place to ensure we are compliant with Government and PHE guidance in relation to COVID19. The safety of our students and staff is an absolute priority. We are confident that, whilst we have had to implement some new processes and systems, this will not diminish the exceptional student experience we strive for.

Before you come into College, it is important that you read our student Code of Conduct, Health & Safety Induction Presentation and complete the IT Survey using the links below:

During your induction, you will be informed about the days that you will be in College and the units that you will be undertaking as part of your course this year. Your Tutor will explain that a small proportion of each course will be delivered online or in a virtual environment, as part of our blended learning model. You will also receive your student ID card and be advised about any equipment, resources and books that you may need in preparation for your studies. Details on how to access your timetable will be emailed separately.

Please be aware that face coverings are mandatory in all communal areas of the College so don’t forget to bring one with you. Please also bring a packed lunch with you and a drink in a bottle you can refill if possible. We are offering a ‘Grab and Go’ service in our on-site canteen, however where possible we would encourage you to bring your own food.

If you are unable to attend your Induction or you are concerned you do not meet the entry requirements for your course, please email as soon as possible and we can talk to you about your options.

If you have not already uploaded your exam results and/or photograph, please can you ensure you do so before your first day at College. If you are having problems uploading, please email . Please also make sure you have provided a valid next of kin email address.
